About “Nativity Blues”

Nativity Blues, a new play by Danusia Iwaszko. A contemporary and multi-cultural version of the medieval Joyful Mysteries, written especially for Peterborough, and performed at The Undercroft in the Serpentine Green Shopping Centre.

Fleeing their war-torn home, Miriam and Joseph have arrived in Peterborough in search of peace but there’s nowhere to stay and the baby is due!  On the edge of giving up hope they find help in unexpected hearts and safety in Serpentine Green.  With a cast of pigeons, angels and ordinary folk this modern retelling of the nativity opens its arms to all people and all their beliefs.
